Aperture Foundation

Aperture Foundation's mission since 1952 has been to champion fine photography.  The not-for-profit organization was founded by photographers Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Barbara Morgan, and Minor White; historian Beaumont Newhall; and writer/curator Nancy Newhall.

Aperture Foundation publishes a quarterly magazine (Aperture), acclaimed books, and limited edition photograph portfolios.  Aperture also has a thriving traveling exhibitions arm, its own 3,000 square foot gallery, and a premier educational program, presenting lectures and panel discussions throughout the year.
